The settlement between South Butt and the North Face has been kept hush-hush, but apparently it's not holding back Jimmy Winkelmann and his gear, as evidenced by this press release from Al Watkins (Winkelmann's super media-friendly attorney):
SOUTH BUTT MAKES PLEA FOR SOUTH BUTT BUTTYS
Parody apparel manufacturer, The South Butt, LLC, has announced a global search for South Butt Buttys to assist in its distribution of donated gear to the internationally acclaimed St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
The donation, scheduled to be made on December 20, 2010, will feature Little Jimmy Winkelmann, the founder of The South Butt, LLC, riding his bicycle to the hospital. Jimmy’s driving has been curtailed by his father due to Jimmy’s failure to observe speed limits.
Three South Butt Buttys are being sought to exude South Butt spirit and commitment to the company tag line, “Never Stop Relaxing.” Applications are being taken on the company’s website.
“The South Butt Buttys will be awarded South Butt gear, enough money for a free pizza, and the memory of a lifetime,” said Albert S. Watkins, legal counsel for The South Butt, LLC. “It is not often one is called upon to assemble a team of buttys designed to exude relaxation, but I am looking forward to the loosely established protocol,” concluded Watkins, the final arbiter of the selection process.
